Important: you use this platform at your own risk
You decide whether to post, accept, communicate with, or meet another user. You are responsible for your own judgment, safety precautions, travel, venue checks, belongings, food choices, and conduct.
Once a plan is matched, ShareMyFood intentionally reveals the creator’s and confirmed companion’s full names and mobile numbers to each other. By accepting these Terms and using the matching feature, you request and agree to that exchange. The other participant will be able to call, message, or otherwise use the number outside ShareMyFood.
If you do not want another matched user to receive your mobile number, do not create or join a plan.
Agreement and eligibility
By checking the acceptance box and creating an account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Electronic acceptance is intended to have the same effect as written acceptance where permitted by UAE law.
You must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of accepting these Terms, and permitted to use the service under the laws applicable to you. You must provide accurate account information and protect your login credentials.
Public posts and contact disclosure
- Your first name and plan details are public and may be indexed, shared, or viewed by people without accounts.
- Your invitation must not include phone numbers, home addresses, financial details, government identifiers, or information you do not have permission to publish.
- When matched, each participant receives the other participant’s full name and mobile number solely to coordinate the plan.
- Do not publish, sell, scrape, forward, or misuse another user’s number. Do not contact a person after they ask you to stop.
Your safety responsibilities
- Meet only in a public, lawful venue and independently confirm the venue and plan.
- Tell someone you trust where you are going, arrange your own transport, and leave immediately if uncomfortable.
- Do not send money, share financial credentials, rely on a stranger for transport, or leave belongings unattended.
- Consider dietary restrictions, allergies, health needs, and restaurant information yourself. ShareMyFood does not inspect food or venues.
- For an emergency or suspected crime, leave the location and contact the competent UAE emergency or law-enforcement authority. A platform report is not an emergency request.
User conduct
You must comply with UAE law and may not harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate, impersonate, defraud, exploit, sexually pressure, or harm another person; post unlawful or misleading content; use the service for commercial solicitation; create duplicate or deceptive accounts; interfere with security; scrape data; or attempt to bypass a block.
You are responsible for your posts, communications, meetings, agreements, expenses, restaurant orders, and interactions with other users and third parties.
Reports, blocks, and enforcement
Users may report a request and, after a match, the creator may block the companion. Blocking limits future signed-in visibility and matching, but cannot prevent anonymous viewing of public information or external contact using information already disclosed.
ShareMyFood may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or cooperate with competent authorities when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, or enforcement. A report does not guarantee a particular investigation or outcome.
No guarantee and limitation of responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” ShareMyFood does not guarantee user identity, background, intentions, truthfulness, availability, compatibility, attendance, conduct, venue quality, food safety, uninterrupted access, or a particular outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ShareMyFood is not responsible for loss, injury, harassment, fraud, property damage, missed plans, restaurant charges, transport issues, communications, or disputes caused by users, venues, or other third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded under UAE law, including liability arising from ShareMyFood’s own fraud, wilful misconduct, or other non-excludable obligation.
Account closure, availability, and changes
You may stop using the service and request account deletion. Some safety, report, transaction, consent, or legal records may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Features may change, pause, or end. Material changes to these Terms will be dated and, where required, presented for renewed acceptance.
UAE law and contact
These Terms are governed by the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of the UAE, without removing any mandatory rights or jurisdiction that applicable law gives a user.
